Schoolboy Awards

The schoolboy awards were celebrated over the weekend in the Castle Hotel, Blarney. A huge congratulations goes to the Gavin O'Keeffe of our 94s team who picked up the Mackey Schoolboy of the Year award and also to Mark Coffey who picked up the overall goal keeper award.

The 2009/10 season represented a milestone for Blarney United in that we had 10 schoolboy teams competing in the regular season season plus an additional 8 teams taking part in the small - sided leagues. This is a massive achievement for a club that, 7 years ago, had just  had just 2 schoolboy teams competing. This achievement has already been bettered this year in that we now have 11 teams competing in the regular schoolboy season.

This progress can only be sustained through the continued support of our sponsors and our parents. We depend on these people for funding, help with transport, help with coaching, etc, etc. We would like to acknowledge this help and support and to assure all those who have contributed (too numerous to mention) that their help is greatly appreciated.

We would like to thank everyone who made this celebration night possible including the Castle Hotel, Centra Tower, Jim Geaney Sean Taggart and Liam O'Connor
