August 2010 - International Tournament

For the 7th year in a row, our friends from Woolston came across the pond and enjoyed a glorious day in Blarney United's O'Shea Park.

150 players from Woolston Rovers (near Manchester), College Corinthians, Everton, Springfield Ramblers, Blarney United and Lakewood made up 8 teams. Our thanks goes to the players, coaches and parents who gave up the last sunny Sunday of the summer holidays to make it such an enjoyable day. 5 hours of football later, Lakewood emerged as the deserved winners, having shown great class all the way through the day, with spectacular individual play and a fabulous team spirit. But our special thanks must go to the players and families from the three Woolston U11 teams who travelled over on their bank holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing them all again next year.
