In the 2nd meeting of these two teams in ten days we thought we were in for another 10 goal thriller when the home side opened the scoring after 3 mins but the Blarney defence settled into the game & were determined not to concede again in this game. This gave the team the confidence to get forward so when the equalizer finally came 10mins into the 2nd half after a fine strike from Stephen, Blarney felt this was going to be their day. After seeing 2 or 3 of his earlier efforts go just wide of the post Jack got the winner with 5 mins to go with super strike from the edge of the box. The best couple of moments of the game though were yet to come with John 1st clearing the ball off the line & then keeper Adam making a class save when the Rathcoole's striker shot rattled the crossbar then the ball fell again to the striker it had goal wrote all over it but Adam stretched to save to insure all 3 points went to Blarney.
