FAI SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOL IN BLARNEY

JULY 14-18

For the 5th consecutive year, Blarney United will host an FAI Summer Soccer School in O'Shea Park. Cost is €99 per child. One change this year is that there will be no "walk -ons" permitted. So my advise is to book early since the club will be unable to add extra children once the camp is full. The only method for booking is via the FAI website www.fai.ie or via the call centre on 1890-653653.

Blarney were extremely unlucky not to have secured at least a share of the points on Friday night under lights in O'Shea Park in their clash with Avondale. Having most of the play and up against 10 men for much of the second half, Blarney had chance after chance but could not get the vital goals to re - launch their season. In truth, the game might well remembered for some of the bizarre referring decisions than for anything else. Both the Avondale and Blarney management were left bemused by some of the decisions. Perhaps the referee was paying more attention to some of the signage than to what was going on on the pitch.
