FAI SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOL IN BLARNEY

JULY 14-18

For the 5th consecutive year, Blarney United will host an FAI Summer Soccer School in O'Shea Park. Cost is €99 per child. One change this year is that there will be no "walk -ons" permitted. So my advise is to book early since the club will be unable to add extra children once the camp is full. The only method for booking is via the FAI website www.fai.ie or via the call centre on 1890-653653.

2007 International Tournament

This year Wolstone Rovers returned to Blarney for the fourth running of the International Tournament. Teams from Douglas Hall, Wilton, Rockmount, Mayfield Corinthians, Blarney and Wolstone took part. Running for most of the day Wolstone, Blarney's two teams and Corinthians came out of the group stages. Wolstone and one of the Blarney squads were knocked out in the semis leaving Corinthians and the other Blarney team to battle out the final. Blarney eventually won out in a sudden death penalty shoot out.

 

We are very grateful to all of the clubs who took part in the pre-season friendly tournament. The players and families all seemed to have a good day. We are also grateful to the many photographers (especially Jim Coughlan), who provided the pictures below.
