FAI SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOL IN BLARNEY

JULY 14-18

For the 5th consecutive year, Blarney United will host an FAI Summer Soccer School in O'Shea Park. Cost is €99 per child. One change this year is that there will be no "walk -ons" permitted. So my advise is to book early since the club will be unable to add extra children once the camp is full. The only method for booking is via the FAI website www.fai.ie or via the call centre on 1890-653653.

 

          
 

1st June 2007 Golf Classic Awards Night

  
 

The 2007 Golf Classic, which was sponsored by many local businesses and by main sponsors, Quintas Partners, took place in the Muskerry Golf Club on Thursday, May 31st and Friday, June 1st. More than 60 teams took part in the event which, for the most part, avoided most of the inclement weather.

Later on the Friday evening the prizes were presented in the Castle Hotel in Blarney.

Coupled with the golf prizes various senior team club awards were also presented.

 

Golf Awards

1st Prize went to Alan O'Brien, Darragh Murray and Stephen Constance who scored a very 54 net

2nd Prize went to John Martin - O'Keeffe, Andrew Keating and Liam Scannell

3rd Prize went to Dave Ahern, John Ahern and Kevin Madden.

Nearest the Pin went to the wily Mick Leahy who slotted the ball just 56" from the pin

Con O'Riordan was awarded the "Club Man of the Year" award

Seán O'Grady presented John Forrest with memento for his excellent stewardship of the Junior team who hopefully were promoted to the MSL Junior Premier Division

Ray O'Leary was presented with the Senior Player of the Year Award

The first team presented the management squad with a memento in recognition of their tremendous work during the year. The 1st team management group include Brian Murray, Finbarr Hogan, Tom Bevan, Darragh Murray and Con O'Riordan
