Fri, Apr 13th. Floodlit League Cup Final: Blarney +35s 1, Ballincollig 0

Friday the 13th it may have been, but it proved lucky for Blarney +35s in the Final of the Floodlit Cup. A strong first half performance by Blarney was rewarded when Jim McCarthy headed home to get the vital first goal. In the second half, Blarney had to repel wave after wave of Ballincollig attack but they held firm and ended as deserved winners.
