FAI SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOL IN BLARNEY

JULY 14-18

For the 5th consecutive year, Blarney United will host an FAI Summer Soccer School in O'Shea Park. Cost is €99 per child. One change this year is that there will be no "walk -ons" permitted. So my advise is to book early since the club will be unable to add extra children once the camp is full. The only method for booking is via the FAI website www.fai.ie or via the call centre on 1890-653653.

Sun, Oct 14th: FAI Junior Cup R2: Blarney SenBs 2, Village Utd B 1. O'Shea Park All Weather. 10:45 Ross O'Rourke was the two-goal hero for Blarney SenBs in a thrilling FAI Junior Cup victory over Village United at O'Shea Park.. It was a momentous occasion for Blarney which hosted the first ever Junior Cup competitive match on their state of the art, all -weather pitch. The balance of play favoured the visitors in the opening exchanges. But O'Rourke put Blarney in front with a superbly executed free kick. However, Village maintained their composure to equalize before the break. The introduction of Dave Moynihan swung the game Blarney's way in the second half. The old maestro pulled the strings in midfield as the home team pressed for a winner. But the Village defence remained resolute to force the game into extra time. In added time Blarney got their just rewards - Greg Constance picked out Moynihan who in turn found "man of the match" O'Rourke to finish with aplomb.
