	The 2009 Blarney Square League 7-a-side tournament has kicked off. Click here for fixtures, results and news.
	As at 14th of June, there are only 5 places remaining on the Sunderland Soccer School in July. Note that NO WALK ONs can be accepted. Once the camp is full, there will be no further places available.
	As at 13th June there ae only 12 places remaining on the FAI Camp in July. Note that NO WALK ONs can be accepted on this camp either.

U12s Visit Sunderland AFC

Blarney United's U12 premier team enjoyed a terrific trip to Sunderland recently. The team trained with some of the Sunderland U12 Academy and played some challenge games against local opposition before getting a VIP tour of the stadium and watching Sunderland beat Hull City 1-0.

5 members of the squad, Aaron O'Raw, Peter Worth, Sean O'Donoghue, Ray Murphy and Luke Conroy took part in open trials at the magnificent Sunderland Training Academy. The Blarney lads joined a group of players from all parts of the UK for 2 days of intensive training under the watchful eye of the Sunderland Academy coaches and talent scouts. The Academy staff were very impressed with all of the Blarney lads - Ray Murphy is pictured after receiving his award for Best Attitude in his group.

Over the Summer Sunderland will be running a Soccer School in Blarney's O'Shea Park. The Soccer School, catering for boys and girls aged 7-16 will take place in O'Shea Park from Aug 10th -14th. Sunderland, winners of the Reserves League and the Youth League will be sending qualified coaches and scouts from their Academy to look at what Cork has to offer.

Sunderland AFC Soccer Camp in Blarney

We are delighted to announce that Sunderland AFC will be coming to Blarney Utd's O'Shea Park from Aug 10th to Aug 14th. All will be welcome to attend this camp and the Sunderland coaches will include both level 3 and level 2 FA - qualified coaches. Previous camps in Blarney have been a great success and we believe that this soccer school will exceed the high standard we have already set. Click here to book your place.

Blarney U16s Team for the 2009/10 Season

It has been confirmed that Blarney United will be fielding an U16 team in the forthcoming 2009 / 10 season. A key aim of the re - formed team will be to bridge the cap between the school boy teams and our adult team. Therefore the 3 year plan for the team will be to produce a competitive Youth team which will ultimately feed players into Blarney's adult Junior and Senior Teams.

Training has commenced already and takes place on Thursday evenings from 8-9pm in Blarney's FIFA - approved, all - weather facility. If you would like further information then please contract Tom Murray on 087-9320687.

2009 FAI Summer Soccer School

This year's Blarney United Summer Soccer School will take place from July 6th - 10th in O'Shea Park. The camp has been running for the past 5 years and we have seen improvements year on year. This year will be no exception. The booking lines are now open and we ask anyone interested in doing the camp to book early. The camps are filled on a first come, first served basis and we remind all club members that the FAI insist that once the camp is full, no additional places will be made available. This year's camp is limited to 100 places. You can book your place via the FAI web site or by calling 1890-653653. Blarney coaches will hand out leaflets to let you as soon as they become available.
