Clothing Recycling Drive

There will be a clothing recycling drive on from 1st Feb to 29th Feb to raise funds for Blarney United FC. In an effort to look at new ways to raise funds to help run our club and to keep costs down for us all, we are asking all our members to PLEASE DONATE ALL YOUR UNWANTED CLOTHES, BED LINEN, TOWELS AND TEXTILES (including shows, bags, belts and soft toys). MOBILE PHONES are accepted too but please separate from clothes and textiles. BOOKS are also accepted (but no school text books, copies, magazines or diaries).

NO HOUSEHOLD BRIC-A-BRAC PLEASE

Please drop items off to club house. Please contact your team manager before Feb 29th (the last day of collection) to make arrangements for collection of items.

Blarney Utd will be using Joma Team Wear

Please note that Blarney United's new team wear will be JOMA sportswear. FAI Intermediate Cup 3rd Round: Blarney 1 Greystones 0

Blarney's Seniors advanced to the 4th round of the FAI Intermediate Cup thanks to an 85th minute header from Alan Weldon. The diving header came at the end of 25 minutes of sustained pressure from Blarney. Click here for pics or check them out on

U19s lose out to Castleview in U19s Cup

The dreaded penalty shootout sealed Blarney's fate on Sunday night in the final of the U19s Cup. The game finished 1-1 at full time and remained that way at the end of extra time. Click here for pics

Blarney's Seniors were good for their 1-0 win against St Marys on Saturday afternoon in St Mary's Park in their MSL Senior Premier Division clash.  Click here for pics.

 


July 2011 FAI Summer Soccer Schools in Blarney

For the 7th year running Blarney United hosted the FAI Summer Soccer School in O'Shea Park. This year, as well as the mainstream camp, we added the goal keeper camp to cover all the angles. Both camps were very well attended and, blessed with brilliant weather, all of the players developed their skills and had an absolute blast. Click here for pics.

Autoglass Ireland Joins Blarney United

Richard Salt of Autoglass Ireland hands over a cheque to Blarney United to help support the underage football development initiatives in Blarney. Richard heads up a locally owned autoglass replacement company on Patrick's Quay in Cork (old PJ O'Hea building). Most of the work is billed directly to the insurance company making it easier for motorists to keep their windscreens damage - free. Richard explained that he was delighted to be able to give something back to a club that provides so much within the community. For more details contact Autoglass Ireland on 021-4518438.
