FAI Summer Soccer Schools Return to Blarney

The FAI Summer Soccer School program returns to Blarney this summer. We are pleased to announce that this year we will be hosting 2 camps. The Mainstream camp will run from Monday July 9th to Friday July 13th from 10:30am to 3pm each day. If you book before June 15th then the cost of the mainstream camp will be €89. The goal keeper camp makes a welcome return as well running from Tuesday July 10th to Thursday July 12th. If you book before June 15th then the cost of the goalkeeper camp has been reduced to €59. There are a bunch of other discounts available including family discounts, discounts for booking multiple camps, previous participation discounts. Sport Village

The Sports Village (Old Tennis Village) on Model Farm Road has been reopened by a not for profit organisation promoting participation in Sports for all ages and abilities.
New Fitness classes are starting next week - details are below.
  • As well as the Indoor pitches and Tennis courts there is now a full Gym.  Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton facilities are being added in the coming weeks.
  • There is a supervised child's play centre to occupy the kids while parents take the classes or go to the Gym, there is a new coffee dock serving great coffee and scones and bookings are now being taken for the new Childcare Facility that will open in September.

Blarney Girls continue to Improve

FAI Intermediate Cup 3rd Round: Blarney 1 Greystones 0

Blarney's Seniors advanced to the 4th round of the FAI Intermediate Cup thanks to an 85th minute header from Alan Weldon. The diving header came at the end of 25 minutes of sustained pressure from Blarney. Click here for pics or check them out on

U19s lose out to Castleview in U19s Cup

The dreaded penalty shootout sealed Blarney's fate on Sunday night in the final of the U19s Cup. The game finished 1-1 at full time and remained that way at the end of extra time. Click here for pics


1109 - St Mary's 0 Blarney  SenAs

Blarney's Seniors were good for their 1-0 win against St Marys on Saturday afternoon in St Mary's Park in their MSL Senior Premier Division clash.  Click here for pics.

 


Autoglass Ireland Joins Blarney United

Richard Salt of Autoglass Ireland hands over a cheque to Blarney United to help support the underage football development initiatives in Blarney. Richard heads up a locally owned autoglass replacement company on Patrick's Quay in Cork (old PJ O'Hea building). Most of the work is billed directly to the insurance company making it easier for motorists to keep their windscreens damage - free. Richard explained that he was delighted to be able to give something back to a club that provides so much within the community. For more details contact Autoglass Ireland on 021-4518438.
